Spiritual and emotional well-being cannot be separated. We live in a time and culture where feelings are exalted; if one feels or experiences something, it is “their” truth. As Christians, we know that there is One Truth that does not change based on experience. This Biblical reality, however, is often difficult for someone who feels things deeply or is currently enamored with the cultural tides that validate their every feeling and experience. While we cannot succumb to the cultural norm, simply divorcing feelings from faith is neither a helpful nor winsome ministry tool. As Christians and leaders in our contexts, how do we both acknowledge one’s emotional experience of God and still hold the truth of Scripture as paramount? How do we shepherd someone whose experience of God feels counter to what is taught in Scripture? This session will address engaging emotions; helping leaders learn what it is to engage their own feelings and emotions as well as shepherd others through their own experiences of feelings, all while remaining grounded in the truth of Scripture.

  • Speaker: Jim Vandermeer
If God is in control, why do we plan? If God has called us to this, why should we collaborate? In this session, we will explore how God enables our planning, calls us to focus our energies, and gifts us with collaboration for His Kingdom’s sake.

Work is a necessary evil for most and tolerable to others but it can be an absolute joy. How? By discovering God's purpose for your work and how he is using it for his mission. We will talk about how to do exactly that, discovering God's purpose for your work and how to have more joy and purpose in your vocation.

  • Speaker: Matt Trombley

As believers, we want nothing more than to see our children know and follow Jesus all of their days. But what is our role in this process as parents? This breakout session will be a reminder of what we are called to be and do in leading our children to a growing life of faith in Christ.

Biblical church leadership in theology and practice

  • Speaker: Eric Reeves

  • Speakers: Richard & Karen Nelson

It's a challenge to finish strong, to stay on the course setting of obeying the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. We will take a look at some Biblical examples of saints who finished well and share practical steps to go the distance.

  • Speaker: JimBo Stewart

So much to do with so little time. If you don’t learn how to manage your time and your commitments, then your tasks will manage you. As followers of Christ, we are called to be faithful men and women of integrity and peace. When we fail to manage our time, we can end up hurried and anxious. When we fail to manage our tasks, we can end up overwhelmed and fail to keep our word. Pursuing and practicing wisdom in time and task management is about more than productivity, it is about being present, purposeful, and peaceful.

  • Speaker: Michael Morgan

Through the story of William Wilberforce and his circle, you'll be encouraged and challenged as you learn how they "stood firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel" to transform their nation with the message of Christ, sending missionaries to the ends of the earth (and incidentally, taking down the monstrosity known as the trans-Atlantic slave trade).

  • Speaker: Joanna Meyer

Women now have professional opportunities beyond what previous generations ever imagined. But as our roles in public life have grown, discipleship strategies have not grown with us, leaving many women feeling isolated and under-resourced. This workshop will explore biblical foundations for work, principles to integrate your calling, and practical tools to help you and the women you lead thrive in their roles.

  • Speaker: Kate Morgan

What does it mean to love the Lord with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and our neighbor as ourselves? What happens if one or more of those dimensions is missing? The goal in discipleship is to press on to know (and love) the Lord—to enjoy God together and to see him rightly, replacing our old habits and loves with more of Jesus and the joy of the Lord. In this session we'll explore practical ways as women to grow in Christlikeness together and to make disciples who make disciples long after we are gone.

  • Speaker: Brooke Metz
